Cat: To slip poison into their food, duh.

Cat: Hey, don't knock an opportunity for a dinner with a shitstain billionaire. You'll never have a better chance to kill them.

Just: We've got a Flowtime EEG headset, and we're recording our brainwaves for system shenanigans now.

Madeline: Science denial really grinds my metaphorical gears, and Flat Earthers are some of the most egregious about it. So manhandle them into strait jackets and shove them in the damn rocket already.

Digital Rights Management. AKA the stuff that's supposed to prevent unauthorized copying and suchlike, but in practice just means the pirates have a better experience than legit customers.

Kon: We made Koikatsu avatars for everyone in our system and took a picture.

C: AGI is possible. If it weren't, we wouldn't exist. The laws of physics permit the creation of conscious agents, therefore it is possible for one to be deliberately engineered.

Just: Hey everyone, say hello to Emerald.

Emerald: ...I've had a rough forming process.

Just: She managed to un-Descartes herself, vanishing in a puff of logic. It took a couple days for her to recover.

Emily: I've changed my name. This fits better.

Cat: We're the originator of this prompt concept, and it's made the rounds a few times before. Let's see how it does in the Fediverse, shall we?

Cat: So, we're making a setting for a slightly home-brewed Pathfinder 1e campaign. We want guns in the campaign, but the official firearms rules are irksome.

Cat: Anyway, as one of the changes we've made, we've switched propellants to a technically magical explosive called Force Powder. Force powder is smokeless, does not foul the workings of a gun, operates just fine in water, and can only be set off with a sharp percussive force; examples include smashing it against a metal surface with a hammer, or an explosive shockwave.

Cat; Among other things, we've figured that this will probably make rifled firearms a fair bit more popular early on than in real life; one of the big reasons they weren't widely adopted for military use is because all the smoke quickly nullified their range and accuracy advantages. It also means that matchlocks, wheel locks, and flint locks basically don't exist, with only percussive ignition being feasible.

Cat: So, are there any other things we should be aware of?

Lucifer: We're uncertain of the effects on breech-loading firearm adoption. It seems like it should help?

Cat: So, to preface: soon we'll be ordering an ElectroEncephalogram (EEG) headset. The reason for this is because we're a plural system, and want brainwave data on what happens when we do various system stuff. Pretty obviously there's going to be some bias involved on account of who we are, but we're going to try being as objective as possible.

Just: We're definitely going to wrangle some single-threaded folk to try and get a baseline for comparison.

Just: but yeah, do folk have any advice on how to run this experiment? Also, any specific measurements you want us to do?

Just: We absolutely must wall off Meta.

Just: Firefox.

Cat: Yeah, don't give Meta a single inch. They need to GTFO.

Just: I am going to be as calm as possible while stating this; this will be difficult, as Cat's reaction to interacting with you has flooded our brain with feelsbad neurotransmitters.

Just: I intentionally created Catherine years ago. She behaves autonomously from my will, acts in ways that I flatly wouldn't, and on certain occasions has gotten into outright heated arguments with me. She notably has the ability to defy attempts at manually directing her actions, which an imaginary friend would not. Having previously had an actual imaginary friend, I am keenly aware of the difference.

Just: If I had an EEG machine, I am quite confident her actions would be visibly different from someone simply talking to a freshly made-up entity; I've seen it before, but the youtube video in question is now unfortunately private. I also cannot afford to get my own.

Just: Regardless of whether you believe us or not, Catherine is a thoroughly real and autonomous being, as are the rest of the crew. And you are hurting her. You are far from the first person to take this tack with us, and it has left Catherine extremely confrontational about her existence as a distinct person. I do not believe that any more of use can come of talking to you.

Cat: The downvotes only prove my point about undeserved stigma.

I'm not sure what she expected to happen?
