“You look lonely, I can fix that…” the Joi from blade runner 2049 or the dating folks in that movie “her” come to mind.

Neat! Hopefully it’s being circulated through the entire country and benefiting those in the lower income classes.

Yeah no discrimination against him, not incorrect at all. He never saw oppression. The oppressor never sees oppression. They see insubordination and people as underneath them

Hello fediverse! I’m looking to find out how I can see more locally made products so I can avoid purchasing big corp in the states. I’ve found offer up 5e app, but I’m curious if there is better local marketplace applications similar to Etsy for a small area? I don’t wanna use big tech marketplace and my experience with Craigslist has been less than ideal. If there nothing that exists then I’d love to hear tips on how to find local items as an introvert.

Proxmox with arr (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

Howdy selfhosters

I’ve got a bit of an interesting one that started as a learning experience but it’s one I think I got a bit over my head in. I had been running the arr stack via docker-compose on my old Ubuntu desktop pc. I got lucky with a recycler and managed to get a decent old workstation and my company tossed out some 15 SAS hdds. Thankfully those worked. I managed to get the proxmox setup finally and got a few drives mounted in a zfs pool that plex presently reads from. I unfortunately failed to manage to save a last backup copy of my old stack, however that one I’ll admit was a bit messy with using gluetun with a vpn tie to a German server for p2p on the stack. I did preserve a lot of my old data though as a migration for the media libraries.

I’m open to suggestions to have the stack running again on proxmox on the work station, I’m not sure how best to go about it with this since accessing a mount point is only accessible via lxc containers and I can’t really figure how to pass the zfs shares to a vm. I feel like I’m over complicating this but needing to maintain a secure connection since burgerland doesn’t make for the best arr stack hosts in my experience. It feels a bit daunting as I’ve tried to tackle it and give a few LLMs to write me up some guidelines to make it easier but I seemed to just not be able to make that work to teach me.

Server recommendations (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

Howdy folks,

I’ve come upon a solid amount of 4tb drives, 8 SAS drives for dirt cheap from a local biz. Never used. I saw a HP ProLiant DL385p Gen8 Server on eBay for $80 and thought it was a score since it had been the best deal. I’d been wanting to upgrade off my think center m710. Curious any recommendations for this? My current setup is as follows:

Main server:

Lenovo think center m710

16gb, gt 1030, 2 4tb HDD sata, one 500gb ssd sata

Ubuntu lts

Docker compose

  • Arr stack -Gluetun with open on proton in Germany -qbittorrent -sonarr -radarr -Overseer -cleanuparr -prowlarr -plex -navidrome -audiobookshelf -Minecraft server (modded: neoforge itzg) -immich -bunch of others that aren’t fully working like tatuli or plex wrapped

Secondary Thinkpad x220 (loved this shit through college) 16gbRAM, 250ssd sata Arch Docker compose -searxng -pihole dns

I’m still looking in to some security system ideas as I’d like to use some storage and maybe do that with some of it. Or some cybersecurity projects or a banned book library or something. I’m open to any suggestions to help this go as smooth as I can make it and as fun as it can be.

Router uses (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

Good day folks, my company recently gave me some hardware, one in particular I’m curious if there are any real use cases for it. I’m not particularly well with networking. This device is a Cisco Meraki MX64. I saw it doesn’t support open WRT so I’m curious if there are any other known projects or alternative software that could run on it. I’d love to toss it in with my network stack but all I have now is just a switch that it’ll plug in to but would love to replace e switch with it.

Absolutely. Will I beat the ninjas? Probably not. Will I get a good job kiss on the forehead for trying? Maybe.

In the 80s, there was Cold War drama We fought the Commies inside Nicaragua Our friends were the Contras, freedom was their mantra So we sent them lots of money for guns and landmines But Congress stopped the Contra money flow Just 'cause they moved a teeny bit of blow But then a hero came forth, his name was Oliver North He and Reagan went around the sissy Congress

Ollie North Ollie North

You see, North secretly sold missiles to a harmless country called Iran, who would always be a grateful ally Then he gave the profits to the Contras Genius But the sales were uncovered by the press Reagan and North began to stress 'Cause what they did was technically high treason But it was totally justified North volunteered to take the blame To save Reagan from prison rape shame The truth he did bury with his hot secretary Thanks to her shredder, he got off totally scot-free

He's a soldier And a hero And a novelist And now he's on FOX News
