I asked a genuine question and had replies that ignored the question I asked and insulted me and said my question was stupid. My reply telling them to stop being rude and answer the question if they want to comment was removed by the mods.

Per the title. If an animal dies out in nature without any human involvement, shouldn't it be considered vegan to harvest any of the useful parts from it (not nessicarily meat, think hide), since there was no human-caused suffering involved?

Similarly, is driving a car not vegan because of the roadkill issue?

Especially curious to hear a perspective from any practicing moral vegans.

Also: I am not vegan. That's why I'm asking. I'm not planning on eating roadkill thank you. Just suggesting the existence of animal-based vegan leather.

What is the charge?! Eating a meal? A succulent Chinese meal?

Don't pour hot grease in a glass jar or it'll shatter and spill hot grease all over your counter and then when you grab a flimsy piece of plastic from the recycling and try to push it on to stop the spill and the plastic collapses and hot grease goes all over your forearm and gives you 2nd degree burns and your floor is covered in broken glass you will regret it.

I wanted to know if my local Food Basics store is tracking me.

I looked at the privacy policy on foodbasics.ca and not finding any mention of this, but wanting to be sure, I emailed their Privacy Officer.

This is the email I sent:

Hello,

I shop at the food basics store at [Address] in [City],

I would like to know if you use facial recognition or identification technology in the store? And if so, for what purpose, and if the information is stored for how long?

Thank you,
[Me]

Here is the response I got:

Hello,

I confirm that Metro does not use facial recognition technology or any other technology that allows the identification of individual at the Food Basics stores.

Best regards

Life Pro Tip: Register an LLC to buy your steam games under. The LLC will never die and you can transfer ownership of the business entity while it retains control of the steam account.

The timing of this immediately made me think of the article posted the other day about there being no news since it happened a year ago.

Price and quality issues aside- when I do go on Amazon it's because I want to buy from Amazon. Not some random business shipping stuff from the other side of the country. Can't stand how every store has a 'marketplace' of random overpriced AliExpress crap on their sites these days.
