I'm not an expert on Senate rules but this seems like a strange thing to do. If the Dems were serious on gridlocking the Senate they should not be providing unanimous consent on things like adjourning and all the other procedural points of order. But that would require them to do things like not go on book tours. I was under the impression that you could silent filibuster for 36 hours on every point of order or w/e the correct term is.

I keep seeing people cope about Costco bc they "stood up to the anti dei mob" or w/e.

I guess one question I have is are the companies winding down dei initiatives actually changing behavior or renaming and rebranding. Idk enough about inner corporate politics.

I think it will just subsume into the current prison industrial slave labor cohort. The application of that labor will probably broaden to fill the gaps.

I mean there was a law in the bush era in one of the southern states going after undocumented laborers and agri businesses had to shut it down. Forget where it was. But it was dog catching the car moment that hit the wall of capital interests.

I saw this and was reminded that bidens big "most important infrastructure investment ever" was also about 500 billion of new funding over 5 years. Pathetic

Also ai is so fucking dumb how long can they keep this bubble going.

The coach laying out that optional isn't actually optional for the younger guys is so blatantly toxic.

The FBI published an Overview of the U.S. Government’s Terrorist Watchlisting Process and Procedures. This document advances transparency by providing a general description of this system and mechanisms to ensure that concerns about it are handled in a timely and fair manner.

Including this, as a way you have helped Muslim Americans, is a micro aggression, no?(idk a better term)

I typed up a electoralism brain(gross I know) rant about polling in reply to [@[email protected] (https://hexbear.net/u/Parzivus) bc I'm poster brained.

I mean yea, it's bad bc Dems need to lead like 3ish% on national polls bc electoral college. Also people, I'm talking generally not saying this is you, wish cast polling errors oh it was wrong in favor of trump(2016) or it was wrong in favor of Dems(2022). When in reality there usually very specific errors in the polling. In 2016 people though Texas would flip bc bad polling practices in heavily Hispanic areas or in 22 putting too much weight in junk pollsters. Even with those errors if you actually look at polls say in 2016 the week of election polls had Clinton up on average around 3% and the margin of error on those polls were like +-1.7-3.5%. She won the popular vote by 2.1%, a result well with the margins of polling.

Like poor analysis in media is a given, the polling is for the most part very sound

Sorry I don't really have an outlet to talk politics shit. I typed all this out so I may as well post. I kinda rant some times on here, Im hating on you.

I'm just a chronic polling defender bc nerd

I think people are coping. Most security failures are individuals not practicing correct infosec, can be just a single slip up. Like one guy in his entourage has a compromised phone and he is shit out of luck.

Honestly, does whining about this shit not turn off more voters than the usual no tv/media coverage ignoring. It really just feels like the petulant tantrum of the lanyard class. Like Kamala is gonna win because Trump and vance are prob the worst candidates you could possibly imagine. Take your win and shut up JFC. Unbearable cryGenocidaires

The creators include Clara Sorrenti, known online as Keffals; Steven Bonnell, known online as Destiny; and Ian Kochinski, known online as Vaush. The agenda says they will discuss issues such as climate change, affordable housing and student debt relief.

I think sjw really needs to be considered for defed. Maybe I'm just reading the room wrong but lemmee and ml seems to have chilled since the first week idk. I've yet to see a good take from programmer one outside of niche focused discussions on non political things (tech support, piracy ect.)

Edit: there is someone from the programmer one being chill and nice in this thread meow-hug
