Something I've been working on lately. This and the second piece really benefit from looking at and seeing both the image in sum, but also zooming in to see the details a bit, so I want to encourage that.
im kind of in "ponder what to do next" mode with it, but this is the form it exists in right now.
I saw it as "biblically accurate" angel stuff, but somebody pointed out it looks like a nerve and, sort of synthesizing them, i've decided it's a representation of a piece of the divine Nous (google divine Nous if you wanna get more info on that, i dont think i have the words or focus to provide more than that)
Anyway yeah!
as a bonus, these are older things I haven't shared.
this is Fenrir to me. If you look closely, it looks like a guy being manipulated by different hands and hooked up to machinery, zoomed out it looks like a wolf face. Like things are forcing this thing to be unlike itself, to become this creature of myth. Anyway, it's basically done, i dont know how to take it further in its current form but I have no interest in remaking it. It's a neat idea i guess.
also an older sketch. It's a priestess of... something... from the back. I should probably expand this one, but again I lack any vision for how to fill it in, so it's in stasis.

the rules based order and decorum dorks, it turns out, really don't like it when people don't pay lip service to dying like a dog for your country when called to do so.
man i lived with my mother who was like the epitome of the ideal of upward mobility, only to watch her body disintegrate and the systems nominally meant to help her shit all over her, i watched the deteriorating political situation cause once-loving family to turn on her as some kind of pariah parasite, i ended up falling far enough i began just being around people much worse off than me at the time, watching friends of color get harassed by police and their lives ruined by the 'justice' system - watched my dad's mental health collapse - my grandfather lose all non-familial support as his mind left his body - i've seen what bootstrapping does for someone on the fringes (it destroys your body and mind) - i've been desperate for more years than i've been comfortable in the shadow of all of that - and hexbear isn't even the first community of leftists i found that assured me that no, my experience wasn't unique, in these ways i wasn't actually going crazy - and the idea this place is somewhere that mostly radicalizes instead of being a place where the radicalized aggregate to in lieu of support from the major corporations that dictate most of the modern internet - it's insulting yeah, but it's also really funny. You have to be kinda derranged to think a federated reddit offshoot is causative rather than symptomatic

What happened to bernie in 2020 broke me in a big way, like "i dont believe in the efficacy of democracy anymore" broke - but I knew he was irrelevant the second his campaign ended, and this does kind of affirm that.
I enjoy the back-handedness of what he's saying, it's like perfunctory and absolutely a non-defense of biden, but it just depresses me that this jackass isn't president instead and every time he speaks it just reminds me that democracy is fake and that all the insufferable buzzkill anti-electoralists were completely right about goddamn everything

-simp the military -are liberal or even conservative -very much just want to disappear into a passing gender role of choice and integrate into society completely so they can go back to being thoughtlessly bourgeoise.
it is, as always, a race and class thing. I'm a working class trans femme and i live and breathe communism, but the idea that we're any more politically reliable than any other group is surely shorn of ignorance. There are large contingents of middle class, middle aged, white transfemmes who look at you funny and disinvite you to their functions if you talk about redistributing wealth or abolishing the police
