Now imagine that this comment was just describing how posts describing things in text are actually amazing and this is where internet 5.0 should be taking us

It's even more incriminating than I thought!

[-] [email protected] 7 points 5 days ago

Uh oh. This is the image that hexbearians will deny exists.

Calling this one person's deportation to El Salvador a mistake implicitly suggests that all of the other people deported to El Salvador concentration camps were both on purpose, justified, and of course good actually.

This will be used when citizens will begin to be deported as well. The idea of a specific person sent there unjustly, implying that everyone else sent there is fine and they deserve it.

This is ignoring that Garcia wasn't sent there mistakenly anyway. It's all on purpose, or at best, neutral - if he was identified by the algorithm, then he deserved it. (Maybe that's the scariest outcome, actually).

Now we get to start hearing the complaints roll in, while I'm just dragging corpses and sitting on chairs like a boss.

Something that really bothers me about any discussion relating to agriculture is how the word farmer is thrown around as if it's clear who they're referring to. Like, the farmers, I believe are actually the owners, right? And the workers are the people who actually do the farming work?

Of course the owners are resisting extra safety measures. It costs money.

Very cool. Lecce, following up on pro-Ukrainian holodomor education, is now adding mandatory anti-communism into grade school curricula

I want to learn more about the conflict and interventions in Ethiopia and Eritrea, but from a left-wing source. Many sources hint at socialist vs. capitalist disputes and interventions, and there are religious angles here too, but I haven't seen this pulled together into a coherent narrative. Any recommendations for something good?
