Exactly this. These people are not deeply misled leftists, they are full-on (probably self-proclaimed in person) fascists who are consciously pretending to be leftists as a way to smear actual leftists. They aren't being ridiculous by accident, it is completely intentional along with their donning of red flags and hammer & sickle emojis. Trolls.

Inspired by @[email protected]'s recent microscopy as a new hobby post.

Tardigrades known colloquially as water bears or moss piglets, are a phylum of eight-legged segmented micro-animals. They live in diverse regions of Earth's biosphere – mountaintops, the deep sea, tropical rainforests, and the Antarctic. Tardigrades are among the most resilient animals known, with individual species able to survive extreme conditions – such as exposure to extreme temperatures, extreme pressures (both high and low), air deprivation, radiation, dehydration, and starvation – that would quickly kill most other forms of life. Tardigrades have survived exposure to outer space.

And no, the image is not AI. It's a real and kinda famous photo of a common and beloved microscopic creature.

smuglord

He knows all about what makes value, and understands history and how it unfolded, proving him right again and again. Marxists have never really thought about value before, and history? Marxists have been shown to be wrong over and over again. It's just history, Marxists, sorry if you don't have any framework to understand it.

This one is really causing me to twitch. Usually this kind of thing doesn't get to me, but the deep smugness behind the sheer ignorance, the smarmy certainty in their beliefs that are the exact absolute opposite of reality - it doesn't get more pure than this.

Andor is in large part inspired by the life of Stalin. stalin-approval

And to be clear, that's Stalin as the good guy, which he was in real life too, despite the mountains of propaganda that the anticommunist west has been shoveling onto pop culture and history education to convince everyone of the blatant lie that he was on par with Hitler.

stalin-heart

I'd love to read Xi Mingze's perspective on all of... this. I wonder what she thinks of the rampant, incessant, unhinged sinophobia drooling and frothing out from the mouths and the worm-eaten brains not just of conservatives but of the liberal "intellectuals" here, especially considering she must have been surrounded by some of them at Harvard. Even if most of the ones she would come into contact with might view her as fellow nobility albeit from the enemy side, the absurd hatred of the see-see-pee and her dad, the gommulist dictator Xi must not be an easy thing to endure.

I am advocating on behalf of the Palestinians by advocating for the less harmful of the two.

You're advocating for the ones who started this most deadly iteration of the genocide and calling them "less harmful."

You, on the other hand, couldn't care lass about anyone and seem to be driven by ideological purity.

Right, which is why on hexbear we have been giving money (that many of us don't have enough of to pay rent and buy food) and real material support directly to Palestinians as well as having actual Palestinian posters. While communists actually do things that actually help people in the real world, liberals are the ones who pretend to care oh ever so much while doing nothing of any material value, and in fact supporting the people and the party that set the genocide on it's course.

Because the real world scares you. Because you are a coward. Because you want to feel correct by ignoring reality. You are of no use to anyone.

And here's where the "Every Accusation is a Confession" comes in full force! Every single point, so revealing.

Now my fifth or sixth hexbear block.

And as an example of the Every Accusation a Confession principle of the liberal modus operandi, I will go ahead and point out the same thing Dirt_Owl did: "This has to be a bit. He called me a coward while running away and blocking lmao." But much more than just that, see how the liberal accuses Dirt_Owl of cowardice, but then goes and does the cowardly thing? See how the liberal accuses Dirt_Owl of ignoring reality, while plugging their own ears and saying "lahlahlah I can't heeeear you!" See how the liberal accuses Dirt_Owl of being afraid of the world while themselves refusing to even entertain a perspective that challenges their own? See how the liberal says Dirt_Owl is "of no use to anyone" as a strange out-of-nowhere insult, when it is widely known that liberals are seen by people across the "political spectrum* as being useless? They just can't help but tell on themselves with every little "gotcha" or snide insult they try to use against others.

I get what you're saying, everything the article is hand-wringing about is in reality extremely good and necessary, so any thinking person's reaction is "wait, you're saying that's bad?" But the author's perspective was clear from the get-go with lines like "Forget saving the planet - now she wants to save Palestine" You can just feel the smug eyeroll. And referring to activists as "climate zealots" in the byline. You can easily tell that Brenden feels revulsion for the people who feel revulsion for the capitalism that is so dear to his precious little heart.

It's not obvious? Because white males as a demographic are the most privileged people on the planet and not coincidentally also the ones most prone to petty, oblivious arrogance, tantrum-throwing, and egotistical man-splaining. The latter was demonstrated by the one in this NASA scientist's anecdote.

I am totally with you in the broad sentiment you're expressing, but almost everything you said is ultimately just bandaids that still don't address the real deep, systemic problem, and this mode of production that will always reward greed. You were most onto something towards the end. But rather than a new French Revolution, which just sets things up for this to happen all over again, how about a new Bolshevik Revolution that aims not just to try to do capitalism more fairly, but reorganizes society in such a way as to eliminate poverty and all need in what is already a post-scarcity human epoch.

We the people have the power to seize the means of production. We the people can set society on the road to the complete abolition of class.

If only there was another country to blame it on

Russian disinformation and meddling is driving innocent Americans to suicide.

Wikipedia (to the surprise of no one here I'm sure) is in full propaganda mode along with the rest of the MSM, without even a pretense that it's not.

I happened to look up "Qassam rocket" (incidentally, due to an unrelated comment by @[email protected] here) and this is what shows up in the ddg results for the wikipedia article.

The Qassam rocket is a simple, steel artillery rocket developed and deployed by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of Hamas. These rockets cannot be fired to target specific military objectives in or near civilian areas, and are "indiscriminate when used against targets in population centers".

But all the bombs including cluster bombs and white phosphorous that Israel is using to flatten Palestinian neighborhoods have "surgical precision."

The Qassam rocket is a simple, steel artillery rocket developed and deployed by the Hamas military arm. It is used by Palestinian militants to target civilian targets in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but it is too inaccurate and prone to malfunction.

Oh, those rockets are used exclusively by militants to target civilians. That's it though, they're made to single out civilians. Oh but they constantly malfunction no doubt because they're made by subhumans. I guess that explains why so many military targets get hit by them - the rockets were meant to kill civilians, but because they're so inaccurate, they end up hitting military installations instead. Makes sense.

Edit: I'm getting different results in the text each time I do the search. I guess they're editing it a lot right now. Each fucking entry still focuses on these rockets being specifically civilian-murder devices though.

Israel "started this" with decades of oppression and ethnic cleansing. Anything and everything that Palestinians have done today is a drop in the bucket compared to the countless crimes of the Israeli colonizers.
