My desire to leave has recently rapidly increased but I have a partner here and really close friends I want to be with as long as possible. I wish I could stay and establish roots but that was never an option given healthcare and the inevitably of the current downturn though I expected to have a lot more time before it got this bad tbh

Observations: The average man at the show that looked to be age 20+ had an estimated height of 5' 6". Almost every person at the show was also white. n=50+

The average height of a white man in the USA is 5' 10"

Hypothesis #1: Shorter men are more likely to be bullied and have worse dating prospects -> more likely to be sad -> more likely to listen to sad music like Weatherday (I'm not citing any sources for these but I've read supporting studies/research for all claims)

Hypothesis #2: I've also observed a disproportionately high percentage of trans women at the show. I can't really estimate what the percentage was because I'm sure there were also many non-visible trans women. This may be explained by a reason similar to Hypothesis #1 in that the average trans woman seems pretty fucking sad, for many good reasons. If that's the case, then there is no Hypothesis #2. However, another plausible explanation is that since Weatherday is non-binary, there may be some trans solidarity or shared culture that makes it more likely for trans women to discover and enjoy their music. If that's the case, then this may also apply to trans man, as Weatherday's music isn't written for a female (or any gendered) audience. The average height of trans men in the USA is 5' 5", which is close to my observed average height of men at the show

Nobody ever says this about mediocre white women, or any POC of any gender

Seems to me that these people want to date people of high social status/privilege in society - and due to mediocre white men's complete lack of any highly positive qualities - by virtue of being "mediocre" - can more easily be stripped back to only being viewed as white and a man as the sole standing "positive qualities", making them a more pure symbol of status/privilege

So imagine you have a bunch of photos on your phone, and then some software finds all your photos from your recent vacation to Brazil, automatically creates a slideshow out of it, and then generates a video where while the slideshow is scrolling, there's 2 AI podcast hosts talking about your life in the photos. Specifically in this scenario, the vacation to Brazil

One clear reason I can piece together is that it's narcissistic to want 2 AI humans to talk about your own photos like that

But there's also something deeply unsettling about this that I can't exactly piece together. I'm not against generating an AI podcast for like study notes or something for you to listen to while driving or cooking, but it's super weird if it's on your own photos right?

Is it the fact that it's weird to just listen to AI voices talk about your photos and yourself? Like it's some sort of artificial social interaction?

They want a superpower economy and cultural relevance without wanting to do any of the dirty work of war and world conquer themselves
