The video is an American family out catching crayfish. That sticker with the dog using chopsticks is too funny. They have Hexbear level emoji over there.

The vibes are good over on Little Red Book.

chinese people love xiaolongxia for some reason. especially in hubei ime but everywhere really, even places that have seafood. mala crayfish, xiangla crayfish, if you go near a food street after midnight after businesses close you'll see discarded shells and claws and there's a shrimpy spicy smell in the air. also im-vegan

The first video I checked out over there was the one of Karen Bass being questioned about the LA fires and there were a lot of homophobic and racist comments :/ like ofc I get met with the cringe right off the bat. Gotta get the algorithm calibrated I guessss

Is there a guide somewhere for how to sign up, I can’t get it to work in English. Y’all have convinced me, this app is just too wholesome.

So when you launch the app you select "Log in", if you do not have an account, this process with create one. You give it your phone number, if that's not cool with you, you can maybe use something like smspool to get a non-sip number temporarily to receive the code required to create your account. Currently, however, I suspect the app is being hammered by sign-ups. My SO tried to create an account yesterday and didn't get the codes until 3AM while we were sleeping.

Once you've received your code, you put it in the box and log in. From there you are good. It'll ask some questions about what you're interested in, it'll ask your age and gender (which I think you can skip) and that's it.
