But it works well for public opinion, which is what politicians care about most, unfortunately

A lot of posts like the one in the picture are mostly dominated by an image, that if tapped is just displayed as an overlay instead of opening the post. The areas where tapping cause the post to open are very small...

Is there a way of making it easier or a gesture I'm not aware of?

Bought a new PC, and I was measuring its consumption out of curiosity. I noticed something weird (to me): when the PC is off (in fact, I completely disconnected the PSU and did the same test), there is quite some current running in the power cable to the PSU (0.15A).

Further measures showed a power factor of (almost) zero, and I can actually measure a capacity of 2uF across the PSU ac input.

I did the same thing on an older PC I have, and there is no current / capacity. So what would the reason of a capacitor across the mains on the input be in a PSU?

PS: the PSU is a Thermaltake Toughpower GF A3 1050W

Edit: I found some official measurements for this specific PSU: https://www.cybenetics.com/evaluations/psus/2249/ that have 40W standby apparent-power by design

Hi! I'm relatively new to mechanical keyboards and I need some help.

I need a 60% that will allow to toggle between two mode, one for writing and one for cursor movement with arrows (possibly on IJKL).

From what I found most of the 60% use the Fn button for arrows, but you have to keep it pressed, which will not work for me... I need to actually toggle the alternative layout. Some 60% have a "Fn lock" to support this, but it's hard to tell by just looking at their specs...

Do you know any model with a similar feature?

The main issue is more about how many FOSS devs are available to implement what you just said unfortunately...

Yuzu [...] allows for the play of encrypted Nintendo Switch games on devices other than a Nintendo Switch.

That's pretty much the whole statement, claiming this to be a crime is just infuriating.

It's like claiming that you can't use the ink inside a printer cartridge you bought, unless you use it with the specific branded printer.

Recently Teams is blocking Firefox even on Windows, but changing user agent was enough in my case...

Tv and movies don't look choppy because the shutter speed of the camera smooth out the movement with motion blur. Motion blur in games is instead just simulated and not as effective.

Also as someone else have said a game is interactive and input latency can be as high as 3 frames, which at 30fps would be 1/10s and can be perceived....

I'll give a different perspective on what you said: dx12 basically moved half of the complexity that would normally be managed by a driver, to the game / engine dev, which already have too much stuff to do: making the game. The idea is that "the game dev knows best how to optimize for its specific usage" but in reality the game dev have no time to deal with hardware complexity and this is the result.

On desktop, I'm really wondering why people use it. I mean it's not pre-installed for windows, what makes people choose Chrome in 2023?

Ho pensato fosse interessante....

deleting all NSFW

Which means they'll have to moderate, i.e. pay for moderators :)

Anche siti sconosciuti se cercati con il nome esatto appaiono, e' una cosa voluta?

This is so sad, I don't understand how any moderator would still feel ok to stay on reddit... Thank you for sharing

If communities belonged to "lemmy" you would have Reddit. If anything would be forcefully federated it would be a mess. IMHO it's the right balance. I get your concerns about being confusing but given the state of development of the platform most of it will be solved by a better UI and better instance data synchronization policies, etc...

Mi sono accorto che su alcune community i post non sono aggiornati (se visti da feddit). Ad esempio [email protected] l'ultimo post sembra essere di 9 mesi fa (quando invece ci sono post anche di oggi) E' normale?
