The inconvenience of being on US English (I'm Australian) simply wasn't worth it for me and I've switched it off.

The summaries are okay but not groundbreaking Photos features are gimmicky Siri is no more useful, only benefit is it was now more responsive and accurate for Home Control commands Most features simply don't exist yet

I'm kinda shocked Apple has rushed this to market in the current state

How have you been finding AppleInt?

Unemployment is such a weird metric. If supported externally; high unemployment should be a goal no?

Whats the comparative poverty rate?

I don’t get why we just keep inventing bullshit jobs when we could just let people be humans

Google is absolutely useless now, nothing but SOE farmed rubbish.

It’s become completely unusable.

I’ve moved over to Kagi 100%

It’s well worth the money for the amount of control I have over my experience. Being able to black list, downplay or uplift specific sources is awesome

This is an extremely shallow perspective

No journalist has any idea how Mastodon works

[-] [email protected] 30 points 2 years ago

Yeah, that’s what it means right? Undeveloped, needing more work before they can interact with the public or it’ll cause issues

[-] [email protected] 96 points 2 years ago

Tech “journalists” have no idea how to speak about Mastodon or the fediverse.

They seem to think that unless something has billions of users, it’s dead. They can’t even comprehend how people could prefer a smaller more selective userbase

Have any thoughts?

I’m just ruminating and would welcome perspectives to bounce off

Don’t pretend like Meta is going to be open and interoperable.

You can’t look at their history and think letting the fox sleep in the hen house is a good idea. The house is for hens.

The whole point in these kind of moves is to cause congestion and exhaustion in political movement.

It’s a struggle to campaign for actual improvements when we’re all stuck fighting garbage like this all the time.

It’s deliberate obstruction and a standard GOP play

We gotta start paying more attention to the French way of doing things

We didn't start the fires, it was Shell and Exxon, BP and Mobil

How are you feeling these days?

We sure do live in interesting times

I just want it to be fun, silly, and a bit camp.

Everything takes itself to seriously these days and Fable never did.

I have the dev betas on my devices because I live life on the edge.

I'm really surprised at how focused they've been on UX improvements. So many minor things that had been bothering me for ages have been tweaked or fixed.

Have you tried the betas? Thoughts?

Never played past an hour or so. I'm gonna give it a good try to get into it.

Are there any mods that people would suggest I use for quality-of-life improvements?
