It feels less polished than the other games, and there's a bit more bullshit (ie. Boss move with funky timing, or being mobbed my enemies) but it has a lot of charm, a very well done interconnected world, and a story that oddly makes more sense to me than the other games.
For the combat, I agree with the other reply
