I reconnected with an old friend last night.

This VERY skilled filmmaker friend told me that they have been shooting videos of protests for the past 5 years but doesn’t quite know what to do with an (apparently) vast collection of footage.

I was thinking that they might be interested in some sort of leftist press collective that focuses on protection of anonymity with a dedication to journalistic integrity; something to multiply their efforts.

They’re at an expert level in editing, vfx, (especially) compositing (even without the footage, this friend would be, by far, the most skilled nuke compositor to lend their skills to a leftist cause that has ever existed. They have done work on more major motion pictures and vfx-heavy commercials than they can even name. Imagine the implications of that kind of meme firepower?), color grading, camera, etc so they’d absolutely be a valuable asset to any press team, honestly.

Does anyone have any advice? I want to make sure my friend is protected while also allowing them to leverage the spirit of collaboration to help make an impact on society if possible.

Welcome! Someone here might have something that would better fit their skills, but UnicornRiot is who pops in my head first for someone that's already been covering protests.
