You ask them to picture North Korea and they imagine that scene from the lord of the rings where the orcs are making weapons preparing for war in a burnt out volcanic wasteland. That's honestly what they think the country is like. The lies about the country are so extreme in the liberal press that their view of it is entirely 100% fictional. They don't know a single thing about the country and are incredibly hostile to learning even the most basic facts about them.
