Edit: a friend just told me that not only did the guys only uncle not die in iraq, he was also never in the military and the guy entirely made it up just to try and shame me for making fun of veterans

it depends. if his uncle was an american, british, or australian troop, then no, of course not.

but if he was iraqi, then probably you're the asshole, yes.
