Democrats have been in a position for a long time where they tend to make more money in fundraising when they're losing or on the backfoot. It doesn't matter if they win, they still get book deals and a big pile of money if they're in power or not. They have no need to win. Whereas with Republicans, all of them are vying to become this year's oil billionaire darling
