The dems have no constituency. The idpol will only take you so far. At some point you have to appeal to people’s material interests, and the republicans are better than they are at appealing to the interests of the bourgeoisie.
Eh, I wouldn't say Republicans are better at that. They're just marginally better at distracting and downplaying.
This basically. They definitely protect big business and privatization, sprinkled in with some reactionary patriotic bullshit and that's them in a nutshell
republicans cut the corporate tax rate from 35 to 20 percent
It was temporary, and it's gone back up so that they can do it again. They're smart at playing their benefactors in the long game.
The corporate tax cuts are permanent I just looked it up :/
The 2024 congressional budget will set the tax rate to 28%, not much, but at least better then now.
