Seriously, it's "twice a day" - because a clock stuck on 1:13 will be right in the AM and PM.
24hr format would be once a day. It's perspective all around
I’ve always countered the “broken clock” comments with “24-hour movement with perpetual calendar” but I get shoved in a locker when I do it
Because it's not where the colloquialism came from. It ignores the origins in deference to pedantry.
On an analog clock, pal. You know, 1-12. It's where the phrase comes from. Don't be an ass.
I'm not your pal, guy
I'm not your guy, friend.
I'm not your friend, pal!
I'm not your pal, buddy!
