Right but, surely if it's a disagreement over tactics or what the org should focus on, or how to do it, that could still be discussed as the main point of contention or disagreement between you and this other faction in non specific terms, or in a way that is not identifying. But that's not what came across in your post
I don't have the full details but this just still sounds like a silly ego/turf war to me.
Like, if there's enough work to be done where this other person is able to shoehorn themselves in, but there's still work that has to be done that you need to do, then fine? Yes it's rude that they're doing it this way, and hopefully they've completed the work for the official job title that they have, before they come down and start doing your work? Otherwise you need to mention it to someone superior to you that this person is doing your work instead of the work they are officially responsible for.
I just think that people will know who is doing what and recognize you for your work that you are doing. If they don't? Well fuck em, you know you did the work and that is what is most important.
Working in an org means working with other people even if you don't always see eye to eye
