The CL and QL boards are great. I work with them a lot. I do mostly corporate gigs but work with musicians too. Did you record this group as well or just do sound for them?

Honestly im not a fan of the CL. At least not for music. Its not very fast. Theres lots of digging around for stuff. Theres no compensation for latency, so you have to make a clean/wet bus if you are doing those things and be careful with effects. Its like a church or theater console to me. But i work on them a lot too lol. Id really like to try a rivage though. Havent seen them on any tours yet but have heard the sound and preamps are way better. It might have been Rupert Neves last design? I dunno.

Im just a live sound guy. I was throwing things in here cause theres no local live sound sub on the instance.

Welp. Three days later and I’ve worked with a Rivage PM5 and a RPio rack. That thing is awesome. The preamps sound much more musical. These guys were driving them hard and they saturate instead of clip. The silk is really cool and I had no idea that there are Bricasti reverbs built in. But most of all I like the layout and how the channel strips are more conventional.
