Depending on the bank, deposit at Australia Post. It works just like EFTPOS, but you put money in instead of taking it out. You can also deposit cash. There is a list of the participating banks here: Bank at Post

NAB also let you deposit using their app just by taking a photo of the cheque, not sure if any other banks do.

AusPost is so easy! I think you also need photo ID that matches the name on the cheque.
