I saw a tiktok saying that it's a pretty shitty thing to do.
Also I don't see the point of stacking rocks, unless you're a 5 year old with no toys.

Only counter-justification I can think of would be if you are on an unmarked trail where it would be very easy to get lost, or to mark a hidden danger.
I mean, what's the point of making a sculpture or painting? People have been making rock stacks for thousands of years, though yeah if it fucks with the ecosystem we should knock that off.
