Yes I’ve actually heard that in real life.
Not the worst example though. In DC they used to have a “Newseum” where they put up a fragment of the Berlin Wall and had “freedom and democracy” painted on the floor on the West German side and “authoritarian oppression” on the East German side. The same “museum” also had a “freedom index” on the map, and yes it’s exactly what you expect it to be
It was really illuminating in that it showed that the most complex political analysis liberals can muster is just one thought-terminating cliche after another.
On the plus side the newseum did have the Unabombers cabin, so that was cool
