Socialism isn't going to be implemented in a single election. It's a goal that will take years to achieve.

But progressives destroying republicans is the first step towards it.

Yea, Fetterman called himself a progressive, too. We'll have to see which ones aren't just grifting the trend.

Note that I am not being defeatist. I'm saying we need to watch them like a hawk, let them know when they're fucking up, and not vote Republican or fail to show up to vote if they turn out to be Fetterman style shitheels.

That's a fair stance. My problem is people assuming it'll be more of the same despite the DSA winning several seats.

We need fucking recall votes back.

I mean, it likely will be more of the same unless we get a real progressive president in 2028 or a supermajority in Congress. A non-supermajority in Congress isn't exactly much power in this government, and Dems already have lots of practice kowtowing progressives.

It's great to see the blue wave, but this fight is far from over. Definitely agreed on the recall votes.

The most important bit is that they can block trumps SC nominees, and that Fettermen doesn't have the same ability to be a traitor.

Given how many Dems voted for the last set, and wholly unqualified ilk like RFK Jr., are you so sure you can rely on the entire party to stand for something? I'll genuinely be surprised if all of them have the balls to use a supermajority for anything groundbreaking if they even get one down the road.

No, it's not because progressive candidates won, not neolibs.

You’re not talking about something in addition to hope, you’re just ignoring what a huge win this has all been, and instead actively trashing hope

Lmao yeah I’m saying that this blue wave is something to be hopeful about and a great thing for our country because I’m a conservative 😂 stupidest troll attempt I’ve seen in a minute.

Blocking you would be useless because you’d still be spewing this shit to others, and it’s always good to point out how wrong you are and how you’re just a sad troll so that others can see you fail and be ridiculed

Being hopeless is a hell of a lot sadder than being hopeful.

If you were smart enough to know how dumb you are you'd be embarrassed.

I don't spend my time trying to dunk on people from another country or trying to generalize 350,000,000 people. I'm also not hopeless. I also, apparently, live rent free in your mind whereas when this conversation is over I'll never think about you again.

So, yeah, I'm better than you.

Maybe it you used some of that socialized healthcare for a little therapy you'd realize that you are the reason nobody likes you.

A Canadian with an unearned sense of superiority. I see that all the time. Not worth showing anyone else.

Joke's on you, I've been all over the world. But then again, we've already established that you aren't smart enough to know how dumb you are. Thus, your insistence on continuing your nonsense. Trailer Park Boys was about your hometown, wasn't it?
