Yea, Fetterman called himself a progressive, too. We'll have to see which ones aren't just grifting the trend.

Note that I am not being defeatist. I'm saying we need to watch them like a hawk, let them know when they're fucking up, and not vote Republican or fail to show up to vote if they turn out to be Fetterman style shitheels.

That's a fair stance. My problem is people assuming it'll be more of the same despite the DSA winning several seats.

We need fucking recall votes back.

I mean, it likely will be more of the same unless we get a real progressive president in 2028 or a supermajority in Congress. A non-supermajority in Congress isn't exactly much power in this government, and Dems already have lots of practice kowtowing progressives.

It's great to see the blue wave, but this fight is far from over. Definitely agreed on the recall votes.

The most important bit is that they can block trumps SC nominees, and that Fettermen doesn't have the same ability to be a traitor.

Given how many Dems voted for the last set, and wholly unqualified ilk like RFK Jr., are you so sure you can rely on the entire party to stand for something? I'll genuinely be surprised if all of them have the balls to use a supermajority for anything groundbreaking if they even get one down the road.
