Kristin LaHargoue says her children, although born in the US, travel without birth certificates or Social Security numbers. Her thinking is aligned with the sovereign citizen movement: an ever-expanding group of anti-government activists that, for almost half a century, have operated on the belief that they aren’t subject to US law. "Hot take: You don’t actually need a birth certificate to raise a thriving, traveling, fully functional child."

For $497, LaHargoue sells a bundle that includes videos and templates for parents to obtain passports for their children based on “nationality” versus “citizenship,” with detailed instructions so they might respond confidently during “interactions with agents of the matrix.”

These people always think that laws are only words and using wordplay you can cast hexes. They think a contract is the words on the paper and not the agreement itself. There's zero awareness of laws, agreements, value, statuses etc. as abstract concepts that are only memorialized on paper.

They don't know or acklnowedge that we've collectively agreed a person, namely a judge, can make judgements about things, and that person isn't going to just give up because you used different wording on a weird, souvenir birth certificate.

If you have your baby in a court room with a gold bordered flag that actually means your baby is born in international waters because that flag is maritime law and you can pick whatever citizenship you want!
