John Bannister Goodenough (July 25, 1922 – June 25, 2023) was an American materials scientist, a solid-state physicist, and a Nobel laureate in chemistry.
God damn, he's so old that he was already 36 when "Johnny B. Goode" came out. So he would have avoided the relentless teasing he would have gotten if he was in his school years. Also, 1922 to 2023 is a hell of a ride.
