(Shamelessly stealing this image from some crackpot carnivore diet community elsewhere on the lemmyverse, with which I have never once interacted, but noticed I have been banned from. Lulz.)

It's strange because I've only had good interactions with them. They were very helpful and gave me advice regarding some health issues, and even took the time to research some stuff with me

(I didn't downvote you) It's just weird and frustrating that people choose a hill like that to die on. It is manifestly untrue that humans are carnivores. It's just weird (and sorry for being a little heated in my earlier reply)

I remove my own upvote from my comments; it's my own weird thing 😂

And no worries. I think food is one of those things that is extremely specific to each person. I'm sure most people would hate what I eat every day. I would describe it as "low-GI vegetarian"

Uh, just because they gave you advice doesn't mean it was good advice. It is not wise to take nutritional or health advice from wannabe influencers.

I take advice that seems like good advice, and makes sense to me. Your advice seems like good advice, but applied selectively
