My Name is Vivian (thelemmy.club)

The second page of the zine. Four curved arrows in the top left of the page point towards the black text with a yellow background, "TRANS GLORY FIT". Just below that text is a colored pencil crosshatch of green and red, evoking a plaid pattern. To the right of the crosshatch and below the text is a doodle of a white skirt with the cutout text "skirt." beneath it, black with a white background. To the right of the skirt is a spirally doodle in blue colored pencil that could perhaps be the eddies of a stream, an otherwordly plant, or wispy hair. Bottom right of the crosshatch, below the skirt, and below the blue wisps are four pink inward curving triangles at different angles all in a line, abstract but perhaps evoking the shape of ovaries. The bottom half of the page is filled with a cutout of a high-top converse tennish shoe, white, black, and gray on a green background. The shoe is untied down to where the high top turns into the body of the show. There are small flowers growing out of the shoe and around the shoe.

The third page of the zine. In the center of the page is a slanted cutout of an ear with a dangly earring hanging from it. The earring from the bottom up has a large ring with a gem of some sort dangling in the center, above that a gem embedded in a ring of metal, and a small ring that encircles the earlobe. In the top left of the page to the left of the earring cutout is the text "Closet?", white in a bubbly font on a dark-pink-red background. Below that text is a colored pencil drawing of a square trans flag. On the right side of the page across from the trans flag and on the other side of the earring is a colored pencil sketch of a rectangular pansexual flag. Below the earring and the pan flag is the text 'and "transexuality."' black on a white background. below that text is a colored pencil sketch of a pan with the text "pan" written in black colored pencil. Across the bottom of the page is the text "LESBIAN" dark pink on a white background in a sans-serif font.

The fourth and fifth pages of the zine as one large spread. The 45 degree slanted text in black colored pencil, "I am a girl / with a short skirt / and a looooong jacket", occupies 2/3 of the left page and 1/3 of the right page. The lowercase j of jacket is written in cursive such that the tail of the j underlines the word jacket. After the word girl there is a purple colored pencil heart, much like the purple heart emoji 💜. To the top left of the text is a quarter-circle cutout of a rainbow that ends in a cloud, all on a dark blue background. across the bottom of the page is an assortment of sprouting wildflowers of different colors. Flying off from the wildflowers is a monarch butterfly, to the right of the text and a good distance above the flowers. The eye might not at first catch it, but to the right of the wildflowers in the bottom right corner of the page is text written in black colored pencil, reading, "who are you?".

This is a zine I made just before coming out. It is very important to me so please be kind :)

Thank you :)

it’s a reference to this song Short Skirt / Long Jacket - CAKE

and also this photo from before I transitioned

A photo of a cute girl who didn’t know she was a girl yet. She is wearing a white mohair skirt, a green jacket, and a tie with plaid decorations, chains, and embroidered eyes
