Ryanair is one of the safest airlines in the world. 600 in fleet, 0 fatalities since beginning in 1985.

Yep, they operate only handful of different airplanes and thus their maintenance is much cheaper, but that's not to say they are doing poor maintenance 🤷 as OP suggested
