Check on Canada's maple syrup supply while we're at it.
legimafely, its actually very low because the demand spiked. the producer association has approved the opening of several million new taps for the coming sugaring season to try and build it back up and keep the price from getting too high.
that combined with the potential for increased energy costs this winter (processing sap into syrup is crazy energy intensive), and maple syrup prices could get wild this winter.
