Not that I hold issue with lemmy.world, I'm just wondering what it means in terms of hierarchy.

E.g. if lemmy.world goes bad and tries to take over the world, what power can they wield over feddit.uk?

No, no, I'm just trying to be funnny. Our finances are complely open and as you can see we are getting more donations than we spend and have about a years worth of funding in reserve. So unless the value of the pound collapses, there's nothing to worry about there.
