People tell their family and bosses what their "main" social media handle is?

I hear it's somewhat demanded, and employees/those lower down on the familial hierarchy fall for it. I'd argue it's easier for the latter, families have the opportunity to mould and subjectively condition someone for decades. Makes it very easy to get someone to comply with an unreasonable request if they never learn that it isn't. Could be significant like incest, paedophilia or total involvement in every aspect of your life. Could be small (big *: subjective opinion) like opening your post, knowing your phone password or stopping your bedroom door from being closed. All of these are related to the desire to have the feeling of power/control over another life. Which is now, largely, socially frowned upon.
