I think we're mostly aware, because it's the same in our own country. I was a patriotic teen that grew up in a military family, and I remember celebrating the Bicentennial in 1976, and I looked forward to seeing the 250th Birthday.

Yet when it hit this summer, I couldn't have been less enthusiastic. I didn't bother to go see any fireworks, and the day passed without much notice. It wasn't just me, nobody seemed too thrilled about the 250th, and most of the celebration I saw seemed forced and awkward. Nobody is thrilled about MAGA America these days.

I live in a major tourist city, and own a business that tangentially relies on tourists, and even I'm telling foreigners to stay away. If I were from another country, especially if I looked anything other than pure Caucasian, you couldn't pay me to visit America right now.
