Aughinish Alumina submitted records indicating that the raw material sent to Russia is used strictly to produce aluminum for global commercial markets rather than military hardware. However, Irish officials stated they could not independently verify those claims.

Aughinish Alumina submitted records indicating that the raw material sent to Russia is used strictly to produce aluminum for global commercial markets rather than military hardware [and the tax on the sales of those goods was in turn used to buy military goods but we don't want to talk about that because we're greedy little shitmongers that sold our souls to the highest bidder.]

Well also the fact that Alumina is generally fungible so using Irish Alumina for global commercial markets frees up other sources to be used for military purposes...
