I reject this level of nihilism. Things are bad, and the future may be bleak, but to give up now is to forfeit any chance of it ever getting better.
A better future IS possible. We CAN build it. We WILL build it.
Of course there will be a future, for some values of it. Overshoot resulting in die-off will leave a residual population that is sustainable within the carrying capacity of the degraded ecosystem, after all.
Oh I think we're most likely doomed, but that doesnt mean I'm ready to throw in the towel.
It really does seem we're marching headstrong into like 6 different great filters simultaneously though lol.
Will first need build some guillotines
Then let's build them together, and when we are at it let's talk together about what we want fore the future.

The world isn't doomed. You might die, but the planet will be okay in the end.
