Link. This is from a subreddit called r/antitheistcheesecake in which primarily Christians and Muslims post Soyjak memes about how much they hate atheists, gay people, sexually liberated people, and anything else they consider modern "d*generacy" (they really love that word).

In another thread they make fun of an atheist's grief over their beloved cat dying

No. We absolutely don't. "Reddit atheists" were actually wrong about a fuckton of things, it shouldn't surprise anybody in hindsight that the sceptic movement was largely a bunch of chauvinists that would pivot away from atheism and get funneled into the fash pipeline at the drop of a hat. It's just that the problem here was always the reddit part, not the atheism part.

Chauvinist STEMlords do not suddenly become based for rejecting young earth creationism. They were still chauvinist STEMlords and immediately used atheism as an excuse to align themselves with the genocidal wars the post 9/11 US waged in Iraq and Afghanistan, and with the entire islamophobic superstructure that served as the propagandistic backdrop for that campaign of mass murder and a few years later formed large parts of the substrate the alt right (that is now virtually identical to the right) grew out of.

Reddit atheism always had the undercurrent of being war on terror propaganda for liberals with a PhD. It also always had the misogynist bias and sex pest tendencies that are rampant in Epsteinian academia, see Dawkins, Pinker, Krauss etc.

You fuckers need to learn NUANCE. Seriously. It grosses me out that you can't say anything here without somebody feeling the need to include the literal worst example of that thing in human history as something we need to unconditionally support.

I guess it wasn't really surprising that "Reddit atheism" was just cover for post-9/11 pro-war-on-terror islamophobia, given reddit-logo , but it sure is frustrating and awful.
