I've seen compelling arguments for some of these. And agree with some of them, at least in principle.
Labor are already being attacked about the budget changes. The FUD attacks on this would be ferocious. Perhaps let the dust settle for a while.
The Rest is Politics had an interesting guest about taxing wealth/billionaires. While UK/US focussed, it was equally applicable to Australia IMO. A good watch/listen
Gabriel Zucman has been making some big waves over there since Gary's Economics got him to go over and promote the Tax Wealth Not Work Campaign. I've been following the campaign a bit and its seemed to capture a mood in the UK.
Heres another episode with Gary interviewed by TRIP stablemates Rest is Finance. Gary does fairly well explaining the position, while Peston loses the plot. He seemingly doesn't understand the fictional quality of magic bullets that solve everything.
