Donald Trump has done similar things. It's just something populists do, doesn't really indicate anything about the person other than then being a populist.

People too lazy to discuss actual policies will always point to these kinds of actions as proof that their guy is a good person. That's why populists do these things. Because populists think their base is dumb and will eat this shit up. And they're often right.

Donald Trump has done similar things.

Like shilling for Goya products from the Oval Office? Yes that's totally similar to turning down a raise.

No, like turning down a pay check:

Like I say, the people that support him point to things like this and ignore all of the many many criticisms of him. He probably took the money anyway, a populist only needs to say they're turning down money, it gets some headlines that supporters will link to those and it doesn't matter if it actually happens.

This is just how populism works. You're upset when your guy gets called out for bullshit populism while at the same time thinking some other guy is being bullshit when they do bullshit populism. Even when it's the same action. Populism is all about increasing the popularity of the person, while ignoring policies. It's just "my guy good, other guy bad."

@SpaceCowboy @ChickenLadyLovesLife I understand completely what you're saying. He's still an asshole with the stupidiest maggots ignoring his crimes. Their asshole ignoring democratic laws, is a pedo, hates women, and loves brutal dicts (thanks, miller and vought).
