this is so cool. I'd love to see some devs lean into something like this as a counterpoint to Sony's ending discs, just having it as a collector's option would be cool, like the gaming equivalent to vinyl.
(would probably be better to do it with GOG copies of the games, though. DRM free, no auto updates, just a script that mounts and runs)
