All the founding fathers actually opposed slavery, but they were all too awkward to bring it up to one another, like some kind of slavery romcom

I think I heard something about him freeing his slaves upon his death. Of course that didn't mean much with no education, and if I remember correctly they were reenslaved.
According to NATOpedia his will was that they stay slaves until his wife died.
Honestly I don't think I can award any points for "as long as I got mine" emancipation.
Oh no, certainly. That's just where I hear the argument come from, I don't think he was actually substantially against slavery.
