It is an interesting overlapping period of time. The WC is sacred in much of the world, 4th of July is sacred in the , and the funeral in Iran is sacred to most of the MENA region and a few other places. So I think there's been a sort of mutual pull back with all these special events occurring that no one wants to mess up too much for themselves. Now that the 4th has passed, I have a vibe that things will start happening again in more significantly historical ways. There is definitely a sense in the zeitgeist that the ruling class of the "west" has eroded its ability to really achieve anything worthwhile. So I'm hesitantly expecting some kind of flailing spectacle that attempts to reassert capital hegemony soon. Whether it works out seems quite dubious, but it seems quite likely for these events to unfold in the next 2 months.
