My cousin wouldn't let his daughter watch Wicked because they whisper a spell during the movie.

I literally asked "Are you fucking serious?"

The query went right by his perception of me questioning his sanity as if I was making a remark in regards to the film itself.

Yeah, man. They're everywhere.

My step-siblings were not allowed to watch or play Pokemon in the late '90s because "they are demons that people catch and carry around with them."

I heard about how Pokemon say their names because they are demons and repeating their names increases their power in the world because you summon demons by chanting their names and playing drums.

Seriously, a lot of southern churches have this thing about drums because they believe some conspiracy theory that African Religion is actually "Demons!" and that they used drums to summon the demons.. And that rock music is bad because it uses drums, which summon demons.

It's stupid and racist
