Arriving late is like giving yourself an hourly rate raise
Its reducing hours but getting no extra pay.
If you work less hours but make the same money, that's a raise!
No, it's an increased hourly rate but the same take home pay.
But they work less hours by showing up late. Therefore the cost per hour goes up.
Even if you're hourly, that's zero minutes spent at work waiting for the shift to start. Nobody's commute is perfect, it's better to start getting paid the minute you arrive.

Oh no, I have to work less time for the capitalist class to enjoy the same quality of life. How terrible! What? I even get more time for myself which increases my quality of life? This is truly a total disaster!!!
