Hello, aquarium enthusiasts!

I live in Washington DC and have a 25 million liter short rimless fish tank which I'd like to stock with plants and animals. Annoyingly, it's only about 45cm deep at the shallow ends, so I'm not sure what would work best.

It's also outdoors, and obviously a bit too large to move. Please help! The algae is going NUTS, so I'd like to prevent that. Plecos? Saltwater? Idk, this kind of isn't my field of expertise and my cabinet is really busy with this whole "Texas secessionist movement" bullshit.

Well what's your filter situation looking like? You got like a sump and pump system going on to keep the water moving right?

A couple years before the revolution, the parks service built a water treatment plant just to feed water into this thing from the Potomac, but it's still just stagnant because they wanted the surface to be still like glass. Ridiculously wasteful, stupid engineering the CPSA inherited when we took control.

Oh I see. And there's no surface turbulence from the wind? I'm sure you could do something low flow or off to the sides that barely anyone will notice. Besides, small disturbances from plumbing will smooth out from a modest distance for pictures or whatever.

Beats algae blooms :' )
