The video selling a 3d printed sheet of plastic for $40 (+ shipping) seems like an amazing grift.

It's just their version of Patreon bucks. I'd rather have people hucking their own stuff that they actually made than telling me to give all my data to Incogni lol

As branded mechandise, it makes a lot of sense. It's a piece of plastic that makes your computer look cooler. The claims that the sheet of plastic would make your computer have lower temperature seemed like snake oil. It reminds me of the xbox 360 face plate replacement.

Are you saying the data proving it multiple times over is just made up?

GN are the most trustworthy creators in the tech space, consistently delivering reasonable and data-based takes and not giving a shit about sponsor influence.

They are pretty much the shining light in the shit infested tech enthusiast community.

They even literally say in the video the faceplate is unnecessary.

idk why increasing airflow making it cooler seems like snake oil. Seems pretty straight forward to me.

i doubt GN would lie about its performance. it makes sense that a face plate with holes is better than a solid one.

They include a filter at least? I'm being charitable to them lol
