Update to the original post.

A lot has been happening to us in the past week and things got really iffy for a while. But now e've cleared another hurdle and in spite of how dire out situation still is, hope seems more solidified now.

Thank you to everyone who has been supporting us, here on Lemmy, elsewhere, and those who have just been there to lend a hand when we needed it. We'd be finished a long time ago were it not for all of you. This experience is the toughest thing I've ever dealt with but it has honestly rebuilt my faith in humanity from the ground up. I actually feel like this is world worth raising my child in now after years of feeling like it was a mistake to bring someone into the world in the state it's in.

While working on this issue, I've been trying to secure psychological therapy for my me and my son. Using public health insurance... the waiting list is years long. I have tried to have him urgently referred through our family doctor, but so far that's not working. So I've started looking at private therapists. I thought it would be forbiddingly expensive, but it's actually not. Still more than I have right now because of the more urgent need for legal representation.

If someone can help us get €250 within the next day or so, so I can take my son to get a preliminary examination to find out what kind of therapy he needs in the future, I would really appreciate it.

Otherwise, we still need donations to cover the total cost of the solicitor. Please continue to help when you can, and thank you very much again for everything.
