In this woman's defense, she's very offline and apolitical. Also she had a really rough childhood (dad walked out when she was young and her mom was an alcoholic) and this is the first serious relationship she's been in so I think she's really vulnerable to manipulation.
Damn. Well then yeah, try to help her out.
That's rough to navigate. Feelings tend to run strong at the beginning of any relationship I think. Combine that with it being a first serious one could make it even harder.
