It's really cool knowing it ain't even started getting bad yet, it's a ticking nuke that's just going to upend the country's social order (hopefully in a good way) but my parents just think im fuckin nuts and that gas prices will go back to normal by the end of the summer

I don't think they're aware of the sheer number of points of failure currently actively imploding the american (and global) economy

Before the war, I saw the writing on the wall. Small things, but its easy go put 2 and 2 together to see how we were heading for a problem with at least the next generation. I was barking at city council about the transportation crisis that their children would be paying for.

Then the war happened and I realized my timing was wrong. Its going to be sooner.

i know it's coming because my boomer mom was even willing to listen to my rants about the decay of capitalism and where we're headed. She did ask "but who will take over after it collapses then?" with prescient foresight. Great question, we can only hope we're ready and have organized ourselves enough to do what needs to be done, though I don't believe we are there yet.

It's going to be rough for sure. I think balkanization is inevitable.

Also getting people organized enough I think is kind of hard. In the west its hard to be preventive. So shit is going to go south and we'll have to act as its happening. That's why I think its the most important to have a group with good people wanting the right things with strong connections. So it'll be easier for people to turn to that then some chud group.

Out of the handful of attempts, only one of them got a bead on him, and it's very unlikely for that to be permitted again, at least for as long as he's physically capable of being in public (3d10 more months).
