BONUS #1: Star Trek Continues, episode 3 "Fairest of Them All"

Written by James Kerwin & Vic Mignogna, directed by James Kerwin.

Stardate unknown (December 2267)
(Entire episode takes place in the Mirror Universe)

"James T. Kirk chose his path. It is time we choose ours." - Spock

After Prime Captain James Kirk and his team restore themselves back to their own universe, their Mirror counterparts return to the ISS Enterprise. The Terran Captain Kirk immediately orders a torpedo barrage of the Halkin homeworld due to their refusal to turn over the planet's immense dilithium deposits. This results in cascading explosions within the dilithium substrate that slowly starts to rip the entire planet apart. This misstep, combined with the words of the peaceful version of Captain Kirk, encourages Commander Spock and Lieutenant Moreau (Asia DeMarcos) to sow descent among the crew, professing that peaceful coexistence is the only future for the beleaguered Terran Empire.

Welcome to Star Trek Continues. These episodes are vocational and not required for the proper rewatch, but they add more to the franchise and almost perfectly match the visual tone of the Original Series. Give it a try (if for no other reason than Chris Doohan, James Doohan's son, reprises his father's role of Montgomery Scott & Grant Imahara of MythBusters fame plays Hikaru Sulu).

Chronologically, this episode comes immediately after Mirror, Mirror and the rest won't be seen until the very end of the TOS era. But if you're an existing fan of Star Trek, there's absolutely no reason not to watch everything right now. ;)
